Peace of Trees

palm fingers flirting in joy,
it is the soundless thats most coy,
branches reaching down to lend me some grace,
deep within their stems lie a faceless face,
vision scouting from mid sky,
trees standing as their power of ease,
surrender to all there is,
soft haze fading to deep night blue,
beats on birds never missing a cue,
Buddha writing the chapter on what would Jesus do,
night sky sheltering invisible stars shining with glee,
flying metal watch dogs soaring down in the streets,
alarm sirens masking the pleasant chirps,
im still here better than ever,
says the gentle genius,
dont let these imposters of fury override your jury,
reclaiming their song to soothe away ringing behind the brain,
grip on with confidence in pursuit of the fast lane,
diminish the fear and replace it with wellness,
breathe easy to a state of awoken rest
